What Is Heaven Like?
Then the angel confirmed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. It flowed down the middle of the primary road. On all sides of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a recent crop every month. The leaves had been used for drugs to heal the nations. Not will there be a curse upon something. For the throne of God and of the Lamb can be there, and his servants will worship him. And they’re going to see his face, and his title can be written on their foreheads. And there can be no evening there—no want for lamps or solar—for the Lord God will shine on them. And they’re going to reign perpetually and ever. (Revelation 22:1-5 NLT)
I like to speak about Heaven. I like to assume deeply about Heaven. Why? It’s my future vacation spot as a Christian—and it’s yours, too, when you’ve obtained Christ. What’s going to we see after we get to Heaven? What’s going to we do there? The Bible provides us some tantalizing glimpses, however that’s all they’re—glimpses.
It jogs my memory of once I’m in a movie show and so they present trailers for brand spanking new movies. I keep in mind one movie that I used to be very enthusiastic about seeing as a result of the trailer was wonderful. After which I noticed the movie. Guess what? The trailer was higher.
We don’t have to fret about that with Heaven. The Bible says, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no thoughts has imagined what God has ready for individuals who love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9 NLT).
God blesses us with little glimpses of glory—particular moments once you’re with household or pals, or once you watch a spectacular sundown, dawn, or rainbow. In the event you ever get uninterested in a rainbow, one thing simply could be fallacious with you!
All these stunning issues are God’s creation. They usually remind us that one thing higher is coming. Heaven isn’t a watered-down model of the best moments on earth. The best moments on earth are a glimpse of higher issues to return. Heaven can be your best goals realized and much more.
Heaven is a spot of feasting and fellowship. A spot of actions and worship. A spot of enjoyable and celebration that can put the sufferings of this world in context.
Will you be there? We determine on this life the place we are going to spend the afterlife. Do you could have absolute certainty that you’ll go to Heaven once you die? Keep in mind, you don’t go to Heaven to search out Christ. You go to Christ to search out Heaven. It’s by way of Jesus—and solely Jesus—that we’ll get to Heaven.
